David Axelrod earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University in 1990 with the dissertation “Three Essays on Latency in Economics and Decision Making.” His post-doc work included health economics research, followed by twenty years in the finance industry. He returned to academia in the Economics Department at Montclair State University, where he developed and taught “The Economics of Time and Mind.” He has previously presented for RAIS on the topics of the
economics of psychological energy and the obsolescence of long-run rationality.
